El apodo.

En La Morra todos nos llaman Ballarin, pero el verdadero apellido es Viberti. Ballarin ha sido el apodo de la familia durante varias generaciones. En 1928 , el bisabuelo y el abuelo, después de haber trabajado durante muchos años como aparceros en otra granja, comenzaron a construir la casa con el sótano, el establo y el granero. Durante varios años, la compañía vivió cultivando diferentes cultivos: Frutas, uvas, vino, cereales, avellanas, y criando animales.

La transformación y especialización.

Los viñedos reemplazaron algunos cultivos, los almacenes fueron renovados y utilizados como bodega, el granero, después de una cuidadosa reestructuración, transformado en una granja con habitaciones para la hospitalidad turística y, finalmente, la creación de un pequeño agrocamping, nacido para los amantes del turismo verde al aire libre. Hoy, la compañía Ballarin, que cultiva sus propios viñedos, produce uvas en La Morra, Monforte d'Alba y Novello , y los transforma en vino en su propia bodega. El vino principal es Barolo , producido y vinificado por separado de cada uno de los viñedos, y de esta manera, poder saborear los matices que aporta el suelo. Además, también se producen Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Rosso y Langhe Bianco. Todos los miembros de la familia trabajan en la empresa, quienes se encargan de realizar todos los trabajos: Desde las operaciones en los viñedos con la producción de uvas, hasta la vinificación. Después del envejecimiento y el tiempo de maduración adecuado, los vinos se embotellan y comercializan bajo su propia marca CASCINA BALLARIN.
Todas las operaciones tienen como objetivo principal la búsqueda de la calidad final de los vinos, tratando de respetar el medio ambiente y la naturaleza con prácticas de procesamiento eco-sostenibles. Cascina Ballarin organiza visitas y degustaciones con reserva previa, para grupos pequeños y grandes, combinando vinos con algunos productos típicos de la zona, principalmente carnes y quesos.
