Historia de una empresa en 6 generaciones.
Seis generaciones dedicadas al cuidado del vino, a la pasión por el trabajo bien hecho, a la vigilancia cercana del viñedo. Una larga historia para la bodega más antigua de Rueda que ha sabido adaptarse a los nuevos tiempos respetando el legado cedido por más de un siglo de experiencia. El vino se crea en el viñedo. Es la uva la que marca el esplendor de un vino de Vinos Sanz. Es ese cuidado certero y ese ruego al cielo, esa espera paciente del brote y esa tierra sana, fuerte, pero dura con la cepa, la que impone las diferencias. Un vino de la tierra que nace del esfuerzo de clima, suelo y hombre para lucir con elegancia en la copa. Allá por 1870, una familia de la Seca, conocida como los Donatos, creyó en las todavía inciertas posibilidades de su tierra para la producción de vinos blancos, los que nacían de la cepa autóctona y casi desconocida llamada Verdejo.
El vino se comercializaba por arrobas a un precio de 12 o 13 reales y los transportes se realizaban con carretas tiradas por bueyes y mulas. El 12 de Enero de 1980 se crea la Denominación de Origen Rueda, que consagra la calidad y la peculiaridad de unos vinos blancos elaborados con una variedad única en el mundo. Vinos Sanz, como la bodega más antigua de la región, se une a este impulso común con la construcción de una nueva bodega en Rueda, dotándola de la tecnología vinícola más avanzada del momento en aras de una mayor calidad en el vino.
La filosofía.
Fielmente convencidos de que la máxima calidad de un producto depende fundamentalmente, de la materia prima, en Vinos Sanz, concentramos nuestros esfuerzos en conservar la máxima expresión del viñedo y cuidar minuciosamente la elaboración de la uva, paso a paso y día a día, mimando la magistral transformación de uva a vino y aportando así un toque personal, sintiéndonos fieles a nuestros principios: Calidad y Tradición. El siglo XXI nos presenta nuevos retos, como es el aumento constante de la presencia internacional de la bodega. Para afrontarlos, hemos realizado diferentes avances y modificaciones, tanto en productos como en imagen e instalaciones. Además, hemos iniciado un nuevo proyecto en la Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid, ampliando así nuestra gama de productos con vinos tintos de esta zona vitivinícola.
