Nada predestinó a Michel Tardieu a convertirse en uno de los grandes nombres del vino del valle del Ródano, si no su pasión por el vino, los terruños y las personas. Funcionario, cruzó tan pronto como pudo los viñedos del valle del Ródano y otros lugares. Apasionado, decide en 1996 crear Tardieu-Laurent en Lourmarin en el corazón de su Provenza natal.
