MURI-GRIES es más que una bodega. No solo es la coexistencia de la vida monástica y el ajetreado trabajo de bodega lo que lidera el día, sino también el trabajo en nuestras propias 35 hectáreas de viñedos en los mejores lugares de Bolzano y sus alrededores. El año 1845 marcó la entrada de los benedictinos del suizo Muri a Gries. El Lagrein.
Hemos tomado una decisión clara sobre la variedad de uva Lagrein autóctona y la hemos mantenido durante mucho tiempo. También se lo debemos a nuestras viñas viejas de la década de 1930, de las cuales cultivamos un material de uva exquisito y trabajamos constantemente para descubrir su carácter distintivo: Un vino tinto elegante con identidad, maravillosamente complejo y realista. Hay muchas razones para querer este tipo de uva, el Lagrein, una variedad de uva que es nativa del Tirol del Sur, que está llena de un carácter que emociona y logra destacar claramente. El Lagrein recuerda una historia de más de seis siglos en el Tirol del Sur y siempre se ha adaptado al microclima local. Durante más de dos décadas, se han observado hasta 20 biotipos de Lagrein en nuestras mejores ubicaciones, de las cuales seleccionamos el viñedo para nuevas plantaciones con el fin de descubrir continuamente la identidad y la naturaleza especial de la variedad de uva.
