Español [ ES ]La bodega Martí Fabra está desde el año 1293. La elaboración de vinos se realiza con modernas maquinarias pero siguiendo la tradición. A destacar que se encuentra sobre suelos pizarrosos. La tradición vitivinícola de la familia Carreras es indudable, y se remonta incluso hasta el s. XII. A principios del s. XX, se le añade otro linaje también con larga tradición en el cultivo de la vid, la familia Fabra, y en 1961 tiene lugar un nuevo y gran impulso con la construcción de una nueva bodega dentro de la misma masía. Con esfuerzo y constancia, han sabido demostrar a lo largo de los siglos la gran calidad de sus vinos. Los viñedos de la Masia Carreras, la mayoría de edades avanzadas (50-80 años), arraigan en los ácidos terrenos de pizarra meteorizada y de aquí la mineralidad de sus vinos; son suelos con un gran drenaje, muy pobres en humus y materia orgánica que permiten un perfecto equilibrio entre alcohol, acidez, taninos y glicerol. La gran diversidad de especies vegetales que rodean los viñedos, por otro lado, favorecen también la complejidad de aromas florales y especiados. Los vinos de Martí Fabra demuestran, sin duda, una calidad, una elegancia y una personalidad extraordinarias.
Con Martí Fabra conoceremos el Empordà más profundo, más tradicional. A principios de los años 60, Martí Fabra impulsa junto a su padre la bodega que lleva su nombre en la localidad de Sant Climent Sescebes. En el año 1961 se construye en la Masía Carreras, perteneciente a la familia desde el s. XII y en la que siempre se practicó la viticultura, las nuevas instalaciones de la bodega, y así reemprenden la actividad vitícola que desde la devastación de la viña por la filoxera había quedado muy parada. Los viñedos se extienden en la Sierra de las Alberes a 200m sobre el nivel del mar, rodeados de vegetación mediterránea, en suelos ácidos de pizarra, muy bien drenados y pobres en materia orgánica. Un clima mediterráneo más fresco y el índice de humedad disminuido por el viento del norte “Tramuntana” mantiene a los viñedos en un muy buen estado fitosanitario. Este aspecto permite realizar una viticultura respetando al máximo el medioambiente, no aplicándose otro tratamiento que no sea el “caldo bordelés” o el azufre. Las viñas más viejas son de las variedades Cariñena, (Samsó), y Lladoner, (Garnacha), de edades comprendidas entre los 50 y 80 años. En los últimos 30 años se han incorporado las variedades Ull de Llebre (Tempranilllo), Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Moscatel de Alejandría , Moscatel de Frontignan, Chardonnay, Cariñena blanca, Garnacha blanca, Garnacha roja y Picapoll para, con las uvas autóctonas, elaborar vinos más equilibrados. La crianza de los vinos de la Bodega Martí Fabra de la DO Empordà tiene lugar bajo tierra en el sótano de la Masía. Roca, piedra y la clásica “volta catalana” reúnen las condiciones ideales de temperatura y humedad para una idónea evolución de los vinos. Los vinos, tanto los tintos como los vinos blancos de Martí Fabra, se caracterizan por su carácter frutal acompañado por sutiles notas minerales. Las crianzas se realizan en barricas de roblefrancés Allier por periodos de los 8 a los 18 meses. La bodega también elabora vino rosado y vino dulce natural con las variedades Moscatel y Garnacha blanca y roja.
