Orígenes y modelo seguido.

Casale del Giglio fue fundada en 1967 por el Dr. Bernardino Santarelli en el territorio de Agro Pontino, Lagunas Pontinas, una llanura de la región del Lacio hasta entonces sin tradición vinícola. A partir de los años 90, fue el hijo del Dr. Santarelli, Antonio, quien siguiendo los pasos de su padre, y con la ayuda del joven enólogo Paolo Tiefenthaler, desarrolló un importante proyecto de investigación y experimentación para la producción de vinos de calidad. Desde entonces la bodega se ha convertido en una referencia para todos los enólogos del Lacio. Los modelos que han inspirado el trabajo del equipo de Casale del Giglio son los de las bodegas bordolesas, australianas y californianas; por esta razón la bodega ha priorizado el cultivo de variedad internacionales. Unas variedades que se han adaptado estupendamente al microclima de Agro Pontino, fuertemente influenciado por la cercanía del mar Tirreno. Casale del Giglio es una bodega en constante evolución capaz de ofrecer un amplio catálogo de vinos de calidad, que presentan una relación entre la calidad y el precio estupenda.
