Historia y tradición.

Gramona respeta la herencia y defiende su concepto de lo que debe ser un cava. El excepcional terruño con que cuenta la bodega y la experiencia elaboradora utilizando el método tradicional para conseguir elegantes largas crianzas, marca la diferencia necesaria para conseguir un gran cava. Gramona es un clásico atemporal, una bodega que defiende las formas tradicionales y le elegancia (con cierta reminiscencia afrancesada) por encima de todo como método infalible para conseguir cavas de altísima calidad. Los Gramona son espumosos suntuosos, que recuerdan a los champanes franceses y eleva a categorías superiores a nuestros cavas patrios. La familia Batlle han sido y son viticultores renovadores, a través de sus creaciones, de emociones, sabores y aromas. Permanecen asentados como productores desde 1881 en Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, la capital de la denominación Cava. Hoy son dirigidas, siguiendo la tradición, por la quinta generación de la saga familiar. En Cavas Gramona siempre han demostrado su personal visión por la elaboración de vinos y cavas. Hasta el año 2001 todas las vinificaciones y crianzas se realizaban en el Celler Batlle, ubicado en el centro urbano de la localidad; actualmente sólo alberga la crianza de los cavas de la bodega Gramona más añejos. Las nuevas instalaciones se han ubicado físicamente bajo la montaña. Su diseño permite, desde el momento de la entrada de la uva por gravedad, una escrupulosa manipulación del producto.

De la Cepa, del Vino, de la Vida.

El escudo familiar de Gramona expresa: “Viti, Vini, Vitae. Verum Cava”, de la Cepa, del Vino, de la Vida, siendo el lema de esta saga familiar, mostrándose también en la gran exigencia por conseguir la máxima calidad en todos sus productos. Disponen de 150 Ha en las que cultivan 15 variedades distintas. Miman y cuidan en grado sumo el viñedo para conseguir los mejores mostos para sus creaciones. Mostos que serán tanto para alcanzar vinos de la bodega Gramona tranquilos, como para ser destinados a la segunda fermentación necesaria para conseguir después de la larga crianza en la cava, uno de los más aclamados y serios Grandes Vinos Espumosos del Mundo. Dentro de sus creaciones destaca uno de los mejores vinos blancos de la DO Penedès, el Sauvignon Blanc. Un regalo para los sentidos es el vino dulce Gra a Gra Pinot Noir. Los cavas y vinos de Gramona son una referencia y marcan cátedra. La bodega no sólo fue mencionada en The New York Times, sino también premiada por la Guía Peñín, la Guía Gourmets, de Premios Verema y del Economista.
