El relevo.

Nacida en 1990, de la mano de Pedro Vivanco, Bodega Dinastía Vivanco está situada en la población de Briones, La Rioja Alta. Ésta es la cuarta generación que permanece al frente de la bodega, y cuya tradición vitivinícola se remontan al año 1915. En la actualidad son sus hijos, Santiago y Rafael, quienes llevan las riendas de este proyecto. Santiago Vivanco es licenciado en derecho y máster en dirección y administración de empresas; su incorporación al negocio familiar ha supuesto un reto de modernización de la gestión orientada hacia la excelencia en la calidad. Por su parte, Rafael Vivanco es ingeniero agrónomo y máster en dirección y administración de empresas, y licenciado en la facultad de enología de Burdeos; su proyecto inmediato es seleccionar lo mejor de los viñedos de la familia para crear grandes vinos de Rioja que sean bandera de Bodegas Dinastía Vivanco. Poseen 300 hectáreas de viñedos, que se extienden en los municipios de Briones y Haro. Una zona de suave microclima y suelos arcillo-calcáreos. Su cultivo principal es el tempranillo, junto con el graciano, el mazuelo, la garnacha y experimentalmente el cabernet sauvignon. De las variedades blancas sobresale la viura, cultivando también la garnacha blanca y la malvasía.

Innovación y modernidad.

La bodega Dinastía Vivanco es hoy en día un templo de la última tecnología vinícola. Destaca también por ser una de las bodegas que más está trabajando por el conocimiento de la cultura vitivinícola y por el enoturismo, como prueba la puesta en marcha de su Fundación y su Museo de la Cultura del Vino. La bodega está diseñada para maximizar en sus vinos el carácter natural y único de sus diferentes pagos y variedades. Todas las uvas pasan por un control de calidad a través de una doble mesa de selección de racimos y granos, para comenzar una maceración en frío y posterior fermentación en pequeños tinos de roble francés. Como resultado, se elabora una gama de vinos modernos, atrevidos y con personalidad, que resume el carácter emprendedor e innovador de Bodegas Dinastía Vivanco. La bodega se halla situada en Briones, a orillas del río Ebro, en una privilegiada zona de la Rioja Alta, desde donde se contempla la Sierra Cantabria. La mayoría de sus 300 ha. de viñedo propio se extienden por los municipios de Haro y Briones.

La bodega.

Aunque en Bodegas Vivanco llevan mucho tiempo dedicándose a la comercialización de vinos tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, fue hace unos años cuando la familia Vivanco decidió poner nombre y lugar a sus propios vinos. La bodega, diseñada por el arquitecto Jesús Marino Pascual, combina un diseño moderno y funcional de espacios polivalentes sin olvidar las referencias estéticas de la arquitectura tradicional de las bodegas. Destaca la Sala Hipóstila, una sala octogonal y soterrada de 5.250 m² donde permanecen las barricas para su crianza. Actualmente en Bodegas Vivanco elaboran siete tipos de vinos en diferentes gamas. Un crianza y un reserva tinto. Dos vinos jóvenes, blanco y rosado. Y la gama alta, Colección Dinastía Vivanco, a partir de una selección de terruños y parcelas. Dos espléndidos monovarietales: Colección Vivanco Parcelas de Garnacha y Colección Vivanco Parcelas de Graciano y un Cuvée de Cuatro Varietales, con más presencia de tempranillo: Colección Vivanco 4 Varietales. Tras cuatro generaciones dedicadas al vino, los Vivanco han dado comienzo a un nuevo rumbo en el mundo del vino apostando por la Cultura del Vino en mayúsculas, accesible para todos los públicos, un deleite para cualquier aficionado y profesional. Bodegas Vivanco es ya un referente no sólo en España sino en el mundo. Porque el vino disfrutado con cultura se entiende mejor.
