La bodega Franz Haas se ha esforzado por mostrar los vinos que produce siempre haciéndolo lo mejor que sabe. Fue fundada en 1880 y se ha transmitido de generación en generación hasta ahora. Se trabajan alrededor de unas 55 hectáreas plantadas de viñedos, subdivididas entre propietarios, inquilinos y concesiones. Franz Haas siempre ha sido reconocido como un gran entusiasta y cultivador de las vides más difíciles, las más sensibles y las que más se pagan: el Pinot Nero. A pesar de toda la atención, la capacidad intelectual, el trabajo, el producto no siempre está al mismo nivel que sus orígenes, por lo que la selección del Pinot Noir, llamado "Schweizer", no siempre se comercializa. Otro detalle que destaca a Franz Haas es la colaboración con el artista Riccardo Schweizer, quien diseñó las etiquetas. Este artista pintó junto con Picasso, Chagall, Cocteau, Paul Éluard o Le Corbusier. Maria Luisa Manna le dio todas las etiquetas a Franz, como un buen augurio cuando lanzó sus vinos. La primera etiqueta que eligió Franz fue la etiqueta de moda Pinot Nero Schweizer, cuyo primer año fue '87, pero lanzado en '90. Hace veintiún años, se usaron etiquetas mucho más tradicionales y simples, luego salió la etiqueta negra y dorada, y con todo lo simple que era, ciertamente tuvo un impacto grande. Pero además de la calidad del vino, la gente comenzó a apreciar mucho este tipo de etiqueta, e incluso hoy, veinti tantos años después, destacan y son recordadas en los estantes de las tiendas de vinos y en las mesas de los restaurantes.
