Español [ ES ]En septiembre de 2009 Alejandro Vigil y Adrianna Catena se encontraron en la embajada argentina de Londres, donde Nicolás Catena recibió el galardón Decanter Man of the Year. Ambos pasearon por el Támesis mientras Adrianna, historiadora, le habló a Alejandro del Gran Incendio que asoló la ciudad en septiembre de 1666. Adrianna acababa de obtener su doctorado en Historia en la Universidad de Oxford. Alejandro, por su parte, era el enólogo de Catena Zapata desde el año 2002. Ambos compartían pasión por diversas temáticas: los escritores griegos clásicos, los libros usados o las largas sobremesas, entre otras cosas. Así, durante el paseo, se forjó un vínculo que les permitió decidir elaborar un vino que describiera su enorme pasión por la cultura clásica, la historia y la tradición. La filosofía de la bodega se basa, principalmente, en elaborar los vinos tal y como se hacía antaño, que puedan beberse fácilmente y que resulten muy gastronómicos. Los viñedos de Aleanna se encuentran repartidos en el Valle de Uco. Dentro de este valle, destacan varias zonas en las que cuentan con parcelas propias: Agrelo en Lujan de Cuyo, Gualtallary en Tupungato y El Cepillo en San Carlos.
