La casa familiar de los Planeta.

Planeta es quizá la mejor bodega de Sicilia y una de las firmas familiares más famosas del mundo. Sus viñedos no se localizan en una sola región sino que se extienden por toda la isla, por lo que la elaboran vinos con varias D.O.C y D.O.C.G., denominaciones de origen controladas y controladas y garantizadas respectivamente, según el sistema de indicaciones geográficas italiano. La casa familiar de los Planeta y la bodega principal se encuentra en Dispensa, en el noroeste de la isla. Allí se elabora su marca La Segretta y los vinos top a base de Merlot, Syrah y Burdese. Planeta también elabora Moscato di Noto en esta localidad de Siracusa y Cerasolo di Vittoria en la provincia de Ragusa. En Ulmo, al lado del lago Arancio, la bodega elabora su célebre Chardonnay envejecido en barrica y considerado uno de los mejores del mundo.
