Yves Confuron es un enólogo con mayúsculas. No hay más que ver sus manos o su cuello para darse cuenta del personaje que tenemos enfrente. Posee unas parcelas excelentes y las trabaja con verdadera pasión. Utiliza raspón en sus elaboraciones, y sus vinos están preparados para aguantar muchos años. "Les Suchots" es su cuvée fetiche. Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot nació en 1964, en Borgoña, en la espléndida Côte de Nuits, de la unión de dos familias importantes en el mundo de la viticultura en Borgoña. La familia Confuron, en particular, tiene una tradición vinícola del siglo XVII y una variedad pinot nero incluso lleva su nombre y de hecho se conoce como pinot-Confuron. La bodega se encuentra en Vosne-Romanèe e incluye algunos de los viñedos más prestigiosos de Borgoña, con aproximadamente 11 hectáreas de viñedos propios, incluidos Gran Cru, Premier Cru y Village.
