Español [ ES ]La pasión por los grandes vinos y el deseo de compensar los límites que la "política del castillo" imponen en el desarrollo de Louis Roederer Champagne han hecho que Jean Claude y Frédéric Rouzaud empezaran a adquirir un exclusivo grupo de bodegas que, aunque independientes, comparten la misma filosofía de excelencia, y que hoy forman el "Grupo Louis Roederer". Se compone de Roederer Estate y Scharffenberger, ambas en California, Champagne Deutz y Maison Delas en el valle del Ródano, Pinto Ramos y sus viñedos en Douro, Portugal, Les Domaines Ott* en la Provenza, y el Château de Pez y Château Haut Beauséjour en Burdeos (Saint Estèphe), que se unieron a finales de 2006 junto a Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande (Pauillac) y Château Bernadotte (Haut Médoc). Louis Roederer también tiene una participación en el Grupo Duclot en Maison Descaves en Burdeos.
Heredero de la Casa de Champagne en 1833, Louis Roederer, esteta y empresario, toma la decisión visionaria de ampliar su viñedo para controlar todas las etapas de la elaboración del vino. Así forja un estilo, un espíritu y un gusto singulares. A mediados del siglo XIX, al adquirir viñas escogidas con instinto y eclecticismo en las tierras de los Grand Crus de Champagne, Louis Roederer actúa a contracorriente de los usos y las costumbres de su época. Mientras los demás compran uvas, Louis Roederer cuida su viñedo, descifra el carácter de cada parcela y adquiere metódicamente las mejores. Con la idea de que un gran vino tiene su origen en la tierra, con el amor por la tradición y la pasión del futuro, Louis Roederer traza así un destino excepcional para la Casa que, desde ese momento, llevará su nombre. Su sucesor, Louis Roederer II, está motivado por la misma visión paciente del champagne, la misma concepción patrimonial de la finca, la misma audacia instintiva. También encuentra inspiración en su amor por los libros y los dibujos, que colecciona con talento. A partir de 1870, los vinos de Champagne Louis Roederer viajan a Estados Unidos y a Rusia, hacia la mesa del Zar Alejandro II.Hombre de gusto, buscador empedernido, Louis Roederer II crea para este último un nuevo champagne y lanza una idea innovadora: la primera “cuvée de prestigio”, que nace en 1876 bajo el nombre de “Cristal”. Su sutileza y su elegancia forjan desde ese momento la reputación de excelencia de la Casa Louis Roederer.

La Casa Louis Roederer crea vinos desde hace más de dos siglos. La eclosión de grandes Champagnes imprime un ritmo lento, paciencia y mesura. El verdadero lujo es el tiempo. El tiempo para reflexionar, para madurar, para plantearse preguntas. El tiempo para ensamblar los elementos pacientemente, para volver atrás, para elegir un camino mejor, el tiempo para transmitir y trabajar en la creación de grandes vinos de Champagne procedentes de terruños únicos, trabajados con respeto, pasión y humildad. Tratar de tú a tú a la Naturaleza, en el viñedo, es, ante todo, saber dedicar tiempo a la observación y al estudio para comprenderlo, intimar con él, captar cada una de sus pulsaciones; y es, partiendo de esta base hecha de paciencia y de respeto, recorrer el camino con él, comprometerse en una cocreación. Esta idea de un Champagne cocreado por el Hombre y la Naturaleza ha inspirado una nueva comunicación visual en la que la forma de la botella nace de instalaciones artísticas compuestas con los elementos naturales: caliza, sarmientos, hojas, nube y raíz.
