Introducción.

Realizado el relevo y dado el caracter comunicativo y docente del fundador de Mas Martinet Viticultors, Josep Lluis Pérez, optó por utilizar su experiencia y comenzar una nueva actividad dedicada en exclusiva a la asesoría. En Mas Martinet Viticultors somos además, una empresa dedicada al asesoramiento vitivinícola. Esto quiere decir, que nuestro objetivo es conseguir que una explotación llegue a producir uvas de calidad para posteriormente elaborar vinos, logicamente también de calidad, con la máxima rentabilidad posible y, respetando el equilibrio del entorno que rodea la plantación.

Viticultura
Mas Martinet produce su propio compost, cierra ciclos devolviendo al viñedo casi todo lo extraído: raspón, pieles post-prensa, madera de poda y gracias a la cobertura vegetal recuperan las hojas de la vid, que quedan retenidas y entran en descomposición.
Añaden estiércol, té de compost y fermentado de hierbas de la zona. El azufre y el cobre han sido substituidos por suero de leche y preparado de cola de caballo para mantener el viñedo sano y equilibrado.
El calendario lunar les indica los mejores días para tratar el viñedo y el suelo, mostrando día a día el respeto a su tierra.

Suelos
Llicorella es el nombre que recibe el suelo pizarroso característico del Priorat. Confiere a los vinos mineralidad, estructura, raza, frescor, persistencia; en definitiva, tipicidad. En cada viñedo, la estructura, textura y composición mineral de la llicorella son distintas en matices y por ello, a través de los vinos de finca, se empeñan en mostrar el terruño particular de cada uno de sus viñedos.

Elaboración
Se vendimia cada parcela en el momento en que la expresión de añada y de finca es más evidente. Los vinos fermentan, con sus propias levaduras, en tinas de madera o cemento o en barricas abiertas de 26 a 35 días. Se llevan a cabo bazuqueos espaciados cada 2 o 3 días, y se guían por los sentidos y por el calendario lunar para prensar, trasegar y embotellar. Cada parcela sigue su propio ritmo hasta llegar a botella.
