La historia de un clásico en Castilla y León.
La historia del grupo Yllera ha estado siempre estrechamente ligadas a las tierras de Castilla y León. Yllera está presente en varias denominaciones de origen: Toro, Rueda, Ribera del Duero y Rioja, y cuenta con un grupo de bodegas arraigadas en el corazón de Castilla y León que elaboran casi una veintena de vinos, cada uno con su diferente marchamo de calidad y distinción. En su porfolio de referencias destacan vinos como su monovarietal de Verdejo, Viña Cantosán, con gran éxito comercial y bajo la D.O. Rueda, y otros como Bracamonte, bajo la insignia de la D.O. Ribera del Duero. La familia González Yllera lleva seis generaciones al frente de Yllera. De los primeros blancos verdejo iniciales, y con grandes y continuas inversiones en tecnología, barricas y selección de viñedos, se ha pasado a elaborar una gran variedad de vinos de reconocido prestigio: Tintos de la D. O. Ribera del Duero, blancos de la D. O. Rueda, vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León y los tintos de la D. O. Toro; estando en proyecto nuevas ampliaciones a otras zonas como Rioja y Argentina. Actualmente, cuenta con tres bodegas: una sita en la D.O. Ribera del Duero, adquirida en 1986 y donde se elaboran magníficos vinos tintos, de corte moderno, elegante y sofisticado como Bracamonte, Viña del Val y Boada; otra en Rueda, una modernísima construcción donde se elaboran blancos con Verdejo, como Viña Cantosán; Tierra Buena y el vino estrella de la casa: Tinto Yllera; y otra bodega subterránea, excavada a 20 metros de profundidad, que data del siglo XIV y donde se guardan los grandes vinos de la casa: los tintos reservas y el espumoso Cantosán. Recientemente se ha inaugurado la "Bodega Laberinto: El Hilo de Ariadna", que propone un recorrido insólito a 20 metros bajo tierra, donde lo mitológico y la cultura del vino caminan de la mano por un ameno recorrido.
Vino y arte.
En la localidad vallisoletana de Rueda, cuna del vino blanco castellano, el verdejo, destacan las singulares y laberínticas bodegas subterráneas del Grupo Yllera. En esta bodega se unen el vino, el arte, la mitología, la historia y la cultura, para dar paso a una visita de sensaciones y sentidos. En el interior de una impresionante cueva, a 20 metros de profundidad y durante algo más de un kilómetro, sus vinos descansan en varias salas que conforman un intrincado laberinto. El Grupo Yllera ha rescatado del abandono diferentes bodegas de esta zona, creando un original e interesante recorrido en el que poder descubrir la historia y el origen del vino. En su afán por ofrecer al visitante nuevas experiencias, ha querido relacionar sus vinos con diferentes episodios del mito del Minotauro. Desenrollando “el hilo de Ariadna”, conoceremos más de cerca las características y excelencias de los caldos del Grupo Yllera: vinos espumosos, blancos de Rueda, tintos jóvenes, crianza en barrica y en botella, reservas y la joya de la bodega: el Yllera Dominus.
