El Brunello su producto estrella.

Fattoria dei Barbi es una gran empresa de Montalcino, pero es además la que lleva elaborando Brunello sin interrupción durante más tiempo. Fue en 1892 cuando la Fattoria, una de las primeras bodegas de la comarca, empezó a elaborar este brillante estilo de vino, un monovarietal de sangiovese ideado por Biondi-Santi en las últimas décadas del siglo XIX. La bodega también ha sido precursora en otros ámbitos: fue la primera de Montalcino en exportar vinos a Francia (1817); en vender Brunello por correo (1832); en poner en práctica el enoturismo (1960); en adoptar la viticultura ecológica; en agregar a la gama de "supertoscanos" su reputado Brusco dei Barbi (1969). En la actualidad, la familia Cinelli Colombini centra su atención en la elaboración del Brunello, uno de los mejores en cuanto a relación calidad-precio. De un hermoso y típico color granate de gran transparencia, el Brunello de Fattoria dei Barbi se revela en nariz con notas de mora y cereza negra sobre un fondo de hierbas aromáticas, tierra humeda y sotobosque. A ellas les siguen otras notas más evolucionadas, de especias, canela y regaliz. En boca es opulento, potente, cálido, agradablemente envolvente, con taninos de increible sedosidad y muy bien integrados, nunca astringente. Un Brunello versátil y universal que se despide con un encantador final balsámico.
